Aftermath

So many scenes were edited out of the 30-minute show.  Hmmm... 7 minutes were alotted for the commercials.

Being the last one to be taped (there were three tapings that day), it appeared that Kris Aquino was already tired.  It showed, as a matter of fact. In the middle of the game, she seemed to get bored from it all.  But towards the end of the game, when the people in the studio were getting excited, her energy picked up.

Kris is a very good gameshow host.  Her timing is impeccable.  And she's nice when she wants to be.  And yes, hindi siya maarte (She's not prissy)Even if my face was full of sweat and cautioned her about it, she gave me a buss, saying, "ok lang." (It's okay.)

When the game finished, we all had an opportunity to have a picture with the host (of course) and Veronica, the 26k girl who's holding my choice of suitcase. After the photo op, the 26k girls were asked to go back on stage and redo their opening dance number.  This time around, their dance was more festive, with the professional audience, joining the beat with their cries of "whoa! whoa!"

Some people noted that the last two cases left were Suitcase #2 and #7.  Suitcase #2 had the P2M (of course!) while #7 had P200k. It was like the battle between GMA and ABS CBN.

Deleted scenes:

1. After I kissed Veronica, Kris reacted, "Bakit ka nagnakaw ng kiss? 'Di ginagawa ng Christian 'yan!" or something to that effect.  (Why did you steal a kiss? It's not very Christian.)

2. Kris asked me what was one of the major ad campaigns I did.  I answered "Pagilingan Challenge for Cafe Puro".

3. When Kris asked me if Charmel was welcome in GCF to which I said yes, Kris further ribbed Charmel.  Kris said, "O, Charmel, mase-save pa pala ang soul mo!" or something to that effect.  (O, Charmel, your soul can still be saved!)

4. When Kris quoted something about being happy in this lifetime, her mention of Joel Osteen and if I knew or heard about the said author, were edited out.

5. Banker's offer of P100k wasn't explained.  Banker added that P100k as a form of his 10% tithing to the church.

6.  When Kris asked, "Pwede ka ng mag-asawa, nasaan ang girlfriend?" (You can now get married, where's the girlfriend?)  I retorted, "Nasa tabi-tabi!"  (She's anywhere!)

BLOOPERS:

When Kris was talking to me about Banker's offer, I wasn't paying attention to her.  Hehehehehe.

KRIS: Hey, I'm talking to you.  Why are you not looking at me?

I pointed out that two floor directors were waving and trying to call my attention.  Kris told them off.  Apparently, the floor directors were trying to tell me not to jump up and down the next time a lower amount was opened. I might fall off stage (which already happened to a previous contestant).

KRIS (to the floor directors):  Don't talk to him.  I'm talking to him.  Okay, Rey...

Then it was back again to Banker's offer.

Truly, this once-in-a-lifetime adventure was unforgettable.  And I was so happy to share it with the people I love and value.  I am so glad that they made time for me as I am sure, they had the time of their lives also.

-oOo-

When people asked me how I ended up choosing the lower amounts, I told them it was all randomly chosen.  Then I remember Kris quoting the Bible, "When two or three are gathered in His name, etc., etc..."  To which I agreed, "He's here."  I believe that God was with me.

From the very start of this journey, when I was having second thoughts of going to the first screening, my heart wasn't set to it.  But God moves in mysterious ways.  He delivered me through all the screenings!  It was short of a miracle happening.  And I remember, it was raining that time.  It was as if God was really giving His blessing.

It was also raining when we taped the episode.  And I believed that the numbers I picked weren't my personal choice.  All I know is I should pick no. 7 as my suitcase.  I rattled off the numbers when prompted to choose.  There was no rhyme or reason to it.

Looking back, I now believe that God was guiding me. Why else would I avoid Suitcase #2?  Why was I so positive that Suitcase #7 contained P200k?  I can't really explain that.  Except that God was there with me.  With all of us in the studio.

I also believe that there's a need to be addressed in the churches that I am supporting that's why He allowed me to win big.  At first, I was only thinking of GCF Marikina.  But when Banker added a hundred grand to his offer, and Kris asked me if I will still donate 10% from the P1M, I readily said yes.  And I already had another church in mind, Cainta Baptist Church.
