Have you ever felt that something might happen but you don't know what?  It's that kind of feeling that you can't put a finger on except that you feel something is going to happen. It's kinda frustrating to have it. But I do have them time and again.  And when I get that feeling, I just open up myself to all possibilities and wait.  -oOo- Here's what I'm reading right now... Kevin Smith's autobiographical journal... If you're the type who's easily scandalized by how vulgar Kevin can get, don't read this book.  But, hey, he's crass and leads an interesting life as an artiste... It's an honest-to-goodness detailing of what happens in the life of a Kevin Smith.  His work, his habits, his family, his pasttime, his friends, etc. etc. etc. So if you don't dig him, don't read this.  In conjunction with reading Smith's autobio, I am also reading Joe Hill's Heart-Shaped Box.  I wanted to see how Step...

Rating: ★★★ Category: Books Genre: Literature & Fiction Author: Ricky Lee Para Kay B, is a tale of one writer's journey in writing his first novel (a parallelism since this is Ricky Lee's first novel). I was glued to it and can't put down the book. Ricky Lee's narrative lets the projector in my mind run as the story is unravelled. Yes, that's how cinematic his first novel is. Lee makes you care for Lucas, the protagonist. Even the characters in Lucas' stories are fully fleshed out, making them real as it can get in Lucas' realm. The stories within the story deal with themes like incest, homosexuality, obsession, unrequited love... and how the characters cope and evolve when confronted with these issues. I found myself caring for the characters! Filled with drama, comedy, tragedy and wit, one is bound to read through it all and see what happens next, and experience falling in and out of love.
