VTR Time!
October 29, Wednesday.
I thought the ABS CBN crew will be at our place around 9am. Good thing I called up JR and found out that they were just leaving the studio. And that was like around past 10am already. At least that gave us time at home to tidy up. My uncle came by just in case they need more people to tape.
A hi-ace van brought JR and his crew to our home. They didn't have a generator with them and they were a company of six, as JR mentioned. JR asked if he and the crew can go inside the house, I told them to wait because Bogart (our dog) needs to be transferred to the kitchen. After that was done, they all went in.
I introduced my dad and uncle to JR and his crew. JR introduced me to his crew, "Sya yung maglalaro." (He's the one playing.) As if the crew was thinking that it was either my uncle or my dad who's going to play.
JR asked for my photo albums. He browsed through it and got the pictures he needed for the VTR. I wonder what would be the reaction of my friends if they get to see their faces on tv! hehehehe JR told me they wanted to shoot a scene where I was at my workstation. A man put a lapel mic on me. I stated my name, age, status, if I win, where will the money be spent.
JR: "Isang take ka lang naman siguro, 'no?" (You can do this in one take, right?)
Me: "Oo naman!" (Of course!)
After the mandatory introduction and stating my reason for joining the show, JR asked off mic: "Any message to banker?"
Me: "Hi, banker! God is gracious enough to have led me this far. Sana maging grasyoso ka rin." (Hi, banker! God is gracious enough to have led me this far. I hope you can also be gracious.)
JR wanted to see some more pictures. I told him they were all online. So we visited my Multiply site and saw the pictures. He chose from them and I saved them all and emailed them to JR in the afternoon. They shot a scene with me and my dad (acting as if drinking coffee -- in empty mugs -- watching tv (tuned in to channel 2, of course.) Just as an aside, when I turned on the tv set, the channel it was set to was 7 hahahahahahaha.
Another scene they took of me was me supposedly drawing (ah! so that's why JR asked if I had a sketchbook!)... So I acted as if I am drawing on my sketch pad (when in fact, I was retracing my sketches hehehe).
JR asked if they could take a shot of Bogart. "Sure! People-friendly naman yung aso e." (Sure! The dog's friendly!)
JR petted Bogart and asked me to take Bogart out of the kitchen and they'll take a shot of me and Bogart by our gate. Then another shot of me walking Bogart along our street.
I learned that the taping for the gameshow was held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the afternoon from 1pm onwards. I asked JR if I have been scheduled already, he said he'll get back to me about that. "Is this VTR thing still part of the screening?" I thought to myself.
Oh well, back to reality. It's 12:30pm and I have to rush to the office and do some work. I only had the half day off. And I still have a meeting late in the afternoon... *sigh*
