November 12, 2008.  Wednesday. I woke up with my whole body aching.  As if I had a strenuous workout the day before.  I was still exhilirated and at the same time, tired. What happened to me yesterday was just only sinking in today. I was just feeling it now.  And I allowed myself to cry out to God with thanksgiving.  Yes, I cried thanking God for what happened to me.  It was totally unbelievable! And it happened to me! -oOo- I took the day off from work, calling in sick.  Somebody told me that my episode would air either this Friday (Nov. 14) or on Monday (Nov. 17).  It aired on Monday.  (Please see my previous entry, And On With the Show ). -oOo- Your grace is sufficient for me.  Your strength is made perfect when I am weak.  All that I cling to, I lay at your feet.  You grace is sufficient for me.

Come From Away Review

Caught the final performance of Come From Away at Samsung Performing Arts Theatre last night (June 29, 2025) at 6pm. A lot has been said about this production, and I agree with all of the praise that has been given to it. Well-deserved, all of it!  CFA tells the true story of how Gander, a small town in Newfoundland, handled the dilemma of welcoming thousands of passengers from international flights that were diverted there immediately following the 9/11 attacks in the U.S.  I saw the show in Melbourne and fell in love with the story and how the ensemble moved me. When I learned that it's going to be staged locally, I just couldn't miss it! I was totally looking out for who's going to be in the cast, and, boy, was I wowed! The abundance of talent! It's the Spelling Bee for the 3rd Time

Yes, I saw The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee for the third time last night (Saturday, December 5, 2009)!  And with me was my best friend Ruel whom I was with the first time I watched the musical (the second time, I was with my officemate and her friends).  And what's the difference the third time around?  Well, I became part of the musical!  Yep, you read that right!  I was invited to be one of the guest spellers, along with another audience participant and two celebrities--Ana Capri and Toffee Calma (just in case you are wondering why they were there, Atlantis Productions was staging an adult version of The Bee that night).   So how did it all happen?  Ruel and I bought our tickets early... around 6pm.  And Hoagy (one of the production staff) ran after us when we were just about to go and have dinner.  She asked me if I'd be interested to be part of that night's program.  I told her that I have been thinking about it ...
